How often is a service required?
It is recommended that a boiler is serviced once a year. Having an annual check carried out by a qualified gas engineer ensures that your boiler is operating safely and efficiently. It ultimately helps to reduce the risk of breakdowns and other
problems in the future.
Boilers do a lot of work keeping your home supplied with heating and hot water, so even brand new boilers require a service to keep its warranty valid.
What does it include?
Essential maintenance checks are carried out by our engineer on all the key parts of your boiler to make sure it is working properly, including:
- Visual check – looking for any leaks, corrosion or defects.
- Internal check – our engineer will open up your boiler and check the internal components and clean them thoroughly if required.
- Flue terminal inspection – This is an important safety measure to ensure they have been installed to the manufacturer’s instructions and are not blocked or damaged.
- Gas pressure and flow settings – the engineer will review your gas pressure and flow settings to check they are at the right level, and adjust them accordingly if necessary.
- Boiler operations & controls check-up – Finally, they will switch on your boiler, checking that it is operating correctly and that the temperature controls are working properly and set them up accordingly if required.
Once our engineer has finished servicing your boiler, an electronic report will be sent to you containing details and confirmation of all of these checks.
